From 1 October 2024, most travellers require a visa to enter Sri Lanka. Visitors from 35 countries are granted visa-free access. If you are visiting for a short stay you will need an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) before arrival, unless you hold a passport from one of the visa-free countries: United Kingdom, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Australia, Denmark, Poland, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Nepal, China, India, Indonesia, Russia, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, France, United States, Canada, Czech Republic, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Israel, Belarus, Iran, Sweden, South Korea, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and New Zealand.
We require you to take out travel insurance before your arrival in Sri Lanka. It is wise to purchase travel insurance when booking your flights and confirming your trip with us.
