According to the Ramayana, Sri Lanka was the kingdom of King Ravana, and many places across the island are believed to be connected to the epic story of Lord Rama, Princess Sita, Lord Hanuman, and Ravana. This tour combines these sacred pilgrimage sites with Sri Lanka's UNESCO World Heritage Sites, tea country, waterfalls, beaches, and cultural attractions, creating a perfect balance of spirituality and sightseeing.

Welcome to Sri Lanka! Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be met by your private chauffeur-guide and begin your journey to the Cultural Triangle.
Munneswaram Temple - Your first stop is the sacred Munneswaram Temple, one of Sri Lanka's most important Hindu temples. According to the Ramayana, after defeating King Ravana, Lord Rama visited this temple to pray to Lord Shiva, seeking forgiveness for killing Ravana, who was a learned Brahmin king. The temple has become an important pilgrimage site for Hindu devotees from around the world.
Manavari Temple - Continue to Manavari Temple, believed to be the first place where Lord Rama installed a Shiva Lingam after the war. This sacred Lingam is known as the Ramalingam, making it one of the holiest Ramayana sites in Sri Lanka.
Dolukanda Temple - Visit Dolukanda Temple, believed to be one of the five places where fragments of the Himalayan mountain carried by Lord Hanuman fell while he was transporting the Sanjeevani herb to save Lakshmana. The mountain is rich in medicinal plants and is regarded as a sacred site connected to Hanuman's heroic journey.

After breakfast, visit the magnificent Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Ramayana Connection - Local legends suggest that the massive rock may have served as one of King Ravana's royal palaces or military fortresses long before King Kashyapa built his famous citadel in the 5th century AD. While this connection remains part of local folklore rather than archaeological evidence, the site is closely associated with the Ramayana tradition.
UNESCO Heritage Value - Sigiriya is one of Asia's greatest archaeological treasures. The ancient fortress features remarkable engineering, landscaped water gardens, impressive frescoes, the famous Mirror Wall, and the Lion Staircase leading to the summit, offering spectacular panoramic views.
After exploring Sigiriya, continue to Kandy, Sri Lanka's last royal capital.
In the evening visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, Sri Lanka's most revered Buddhist temple. The temple houses the sacred tooth relic of Lord Buddha and has been a place of worship for centuries. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the island's most important religious monuments.

After breakfast, visit the beautiful Royal Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya. Established over 200 years ago, the gardens are home to more than 4,000 species of plants, including orchids, palms, medicinal plants, giant bamboo, spice trees, and flowering collections from around the world. It is considered one of Asia's finest botanical gardens.
Continue towards Nuwara Eliya through Sri Lanka's scenic tea country.
Shri Bhakta Hanuman Temple - Visit the famous Shri Bhakta Hanuman Temple in Ramboda. This colourful temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman and is believed to stand near the location where Hanuman first searched for Princess Sita after arriving in Lanka. It remains one of the most visited Ramayana pilgrimage sites.
Ramboda - According to Ramayana tradition, the surrounding mountains of Ramboda were one of the main areas where Hanuman camped while searching for Sita. The region is also famous for its spectacular waterfalls and panoramic mountain scenery.
Visit a tea plantation and tea factory to learn how world-famous Ceylon Tea is grown, harvested, and processed before enjoying a freshly brewed cup.
Arrive in Nuwara Eliya, known as "Little England" because of its colonial architecture and cool climate.
In the evening, enjoy a leisurely walk around Gregory Lake and explore the charming town.

After breakfast begin a full day exploring Sri Lanka's most important Ramayana sites.
Gayathri Peedam - One of Sri Lanka's oldest Hindu shrines, believed to be the place where King Ravana performed powerful prayers and meditation to Goddess Gayathri.
Sita Amman Temple - Visit the beautiful Sita Amman Temple, believed to stand near the place where Princess Sita was held captive by King Ravana. The nearby stream is said to contain footprints believed by devotees to be those of Lord Hanuman.
Ashok Vatika - According to the Ramayana, this was the beautiful garden where Princess Sita spent much of her captivity. It was here that Lord Hanuman first met Sita and delivered Lord Rama's message.
Continue towards Ella.
Divurumpola Temple - Visit the sacred Divurumpola Temple, believed to be the place where Princess Sita underwent the famous Agni Pariksha (Trial by Fire) to prove her purity after being rescued by Lord Rama.
Continue to Ella.
Visit the spectacular Ravana Falls, one of Sri Lanka's most beautiful waterfalls.
Nearby is the Ravana Cave, believed to have been part of the tunnel network used by King Ravana and one of the places where Princess Sita was hidden.Enjoy some free time exploring the beautiful mountain village of Ella before returning to Nuwara Eliya.
Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast, travel towards Sri Lanka's southern coast.
En route stop at the beautiful Devon Falls, often called the "Veil of the Valley," and the magnificent St. Clair's Falls, known as the "Little Niagara of Sri Lanka." These are among the country's most picturesque waterfalls.
Continue to Bentota. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing on one of Sri Lanka's finest golden sandy beaches.

After breakfast, visit the historic Galle Dutch Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built by the Portuguese and later fortified by the Dutch during the 17th century. Today it is a fascinating blend of colonial architecture, boutique shops, museums, cafés, and sea views.
Continue to Rumassala Hill. Rumassala and the Sanjeevani Legend - According to the Ramayana, when Lord Hanuman carried the Sanjeevani Mountain from the Himalayas, a fragment fell at Rumassala. The area is famous for its unusual medicinal plants, many of which are not commonly found elsewhere in Sri Lanka.
Later enjoy a relaxing Madu River Boat Safari, cruising through mangrove forests, small islands, cinnamon plantations, and rich birdlife.
Visit a Sea Turtle Conservation Project, where injured turtles are treated and endangered hatchlings are protected before being released into the ocean.
Return to Bentota.

After breakfast, travel to Colombo.
En route visit the Sri Anjaneyar Temple, one of Sri Lanka's most important Hanuman temples. The temple features a magnificent statue of Lord Hanuman and attracts thousands of devotees each year.
Continue to Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihara.
According to the Ramayana tradition, this sacred temple marks the place where Vibhishana, Ravana's righteous brother, was crowned King of Lanka by Lord Rama after Ravana's defeat. Today Vibhishana is worshipped as one of Sri Lanka's guardian deities.
Arrive in Colombo.
Enjoy a city tour visiting Independence Square, Galle Face Green, Gangaramaya Temple, colonial buildings, shopping malls, and local markets.
Spend some free time shopping for souvenirs, gems, handicrafts, tea, and spices.
Overnight stay in Colombo
After breakfast, transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport for your departure flight.
